Biography

Heidiboxer is a rock band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Formed in 2005, the band played small pubs and frequently stole away to the west side of Chicago to record its first record in an old ammunition factory.

"All of our records were self-funded" says Will Buege, who admits that he's surprised that the band stayed together after half of the band was laid off from work in 2008. Getting up early for work and staying up late at night to play shows and make records honed the band's musical approach and brotherhood.

Although music from Heidiboxer's first record was featured on MTV's The Hills and The Real World among other television shows, which introduced the group to a national listenership, weathering unemployment kept band members grounded and making music kept them together.
